What the guac is this?

It's not guacamole. It's not pico de gallo either. It's both! I had some leftover avocado from the hummucado sandwhich, but it was not enough for making guacamole. I think that the next best thing when you want guacamole, but you don't have it, is pico de gallo.

Hummucado sandwich

If you've been reading my blog, you should know that I love hummus. But is dipping pita in hummus the only way to eat it? Nothing can be farther from the truth. As the movie You Don't Mess With The Zohan showed us, you can use hummus for pretty much everything.

A cow and a chicken once went on strike...

...and no one really cared about them, so they were alone until morning came. They were hungry, so the cow said, "We should really get some breakfast! I'm craving pancackes". The chicken responded, "No way! It would be painful to give away a whole egg, and doesn't that defeat the purpose of our strike?". So, without mentioning that the poor Mr. Pork would have to be killed for the bacon, they set up to make pancakes without milk and without eggs.

The secret of Victor's best hummus

By popular demand: Victor's hummus! Whenever there's a party, Victor brings his world class hummus with a bunch of pita chips and groovy things to eat. And every time, someone will ask Victor how he makes his hummus. Look no further, here's the secret. Revealed.

Fall colors

In all honesty, I just wanted an excuse to post this picture. This post is the excuse. When I write about traveling, I pretty much talk about places I go far from home. Travel, in my mind, involves taking an airplane, but it's not always so. How about traveling within Michigan?

Chili makes you feel good

You'll feel warm and all that, but your bed partner won't necessarily thank you. Still, I have to say that, this being the first time I've ever made chili, it was quite good!

Biscuits?

Just now I was talking on the phone with my good friend Joel, when I mentioned that I was craving a bean soup. It was totally random, but there it was. The thing is, if I'm making bean soup, I'd like to make it from scratch, soaking the beans overnight and all. I wasn't up for that, and I wanted something now. How about biscuits? I took a bag of flour and started reading. It turns out I didn't have any of the ingredients listed.
